About this experience
Troodos is the largest mountain range in Cyprus. Here you will find unique architectural monuments, listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites, and untouched nature. You will drive along the island's mountain roads and immerse yourself in its history, getting to know the everyday life and traditions of the locals.
What to Expect
North Slope of Troodos
You will visit the northern side of the mountain range. The main attraction of the village is the Church of Archangel Michael. We will admire the church from the facade and enjoy the 15th-century frescoes inside. I will tell you about the artist who painted the walls here in 1474 and show you the message that the modest painter from Marathasa left to his descendants.
Church of the Holy Virgin and Monastery of John Lampadist
About three kilometers from Pedoulas is another equally interesting village - Moutoullas. Here you will see the Church of the Holy Virgin and learn about the features of building "roofed churches". Then we will head to Kalopanayiotis to see the monastery of St. John Lampadist and walk in the places where two apostles, Paul and Barnabas, arrived in 45 AD.
Mount Olympus and Berengaria Hotel
Mount Olympus is the highest peak on the island, reaching 2000 meters above sea level. You will enjoy breathtaking views and the nature of Cyprus. And, of course, we will visit the most mysterious and enigmatic place in Troodos - the Berengaria Hotel. Once magnificent and luxurious, it is now completely forgotten - with my help, you will understand why this happened and unravel some of the mysteries of this place.
