About this experience
Get ready for an active and incredibly beautiful journey. To feel the power of the mountains, it's not enough to just admire them from the car window. That's why we will hike 3 kilometers to Mamzyshkha, at an altitude of 1873 m. The path will lead through fragrant spruce forests, and then you will find yourself among amazing alpine meadows. Here we will have a picnic and enjoy the views!
What to expect
⛰ We depart from Adler, Hosta, or Kudepsta to the Abkhazia border, which under favorable circumstances we will cross in an hour or less. But sometimes it can take up to 2 hours.
🌸 The road to the start of the hike will take about 1.5 hours. Along the way, we will make several stops at viewing platforms with views of Gagra.
⛰ We start the ascent to Mamzyshkha! The duration of the hike depends on your physical fitness, on average, it's 2.5 hours one way (3 km). Be prepared not only for beautiful mountain trails through spruce forest but also for gaining an altitude of 300 m.
🌸 And here we are at an altitude of 1873 m: surrounded by alpine meadows and snowy peaks, with the sea in the distance. Among such beauty, we will have a picnic: local fruits, vegetables, lavash, cheese, and herbal tea.
⛰ After resting, we head back. If we descend not too late, we will make stops at other viewpoints on the way back and enjoy the sunset.
🌸 Nice bonus: during our journey, we will take pictures and videos of you, then edit them into a video and send it to you!
Organizational details
- This program is not suitable for people without physical training
- Children over 10 with appropriate preparation can join
- Wear comfortable shoes, ideally hiking boots, bring hiking poles if desired. Don't forget sunscreen and headgear.
- The weather in the mountains is unpredictable, so make sure to have warm clothing
- The cost includes drinking water and a picnic
How the trip goes
- You will be accompanied by me or another guide from our team
- We will pick you up from a convenient location in Hosta, Kudepsta, or Adler and drop you off afterwards
- The duration of the journey depends on the border situation and may increase by several hours
- The trip is done by crossover or SUV
