In this active adventure, you will spend nights under the starry sky, trek through picturesque valleys and passes, explore famous cities, and even relax on the seaside! You will see snow-covered peaks and sun-glazed glaciers, wander through cozy mountain village streets, gaze at ancient Svan towers. Together we will conquer Koruldi, admire lakes, explore Tbilisi and the center of Svaneti - Mestia. You will experience boundless Georgian hospitality, the power of national traditions, and of course, savor delicious local dishes.
Organizational Details
The program is suitable for beginners, people without hiking experience, who are in good physical shape. Participants should be non-conflictive and able to walk several hours a day carrying a backpack weighing 13-18 kg, as well as free of illnesses incompatible with mountain tourism.
Throughout the route, we travel either by transport or on foot with a backpack (often) or without it (on excursions and ascents). On hiking days, we will walk from 10 to 17 km. Ascent (vertically) - 300-900 meters per day. Several days will be spent in conditions of limited comfort - without toilets and showers.
Cooking, shifts, and tent pitching are done by the participants under the guidance of the guide.
Route changes are possible due to weather conditions or group status. Decisions made by the guide are final and not subject to discussion.
Children from 10 years old can participate in the journey accompanied by their parents.
For citizens of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, no visa is required, only a valid passport. Any currency (rubles, dollars, euros) can be brought along. Upon arrival, we will exchange money for lari. There is no need to exchange anything in Moscow. Approximate exchange rate: 1 lari = 22 rubles.
We will travel in a comfortable 16-18 seat minibus. Georgia has good asphalt roads.
Transfers by train are planned on the 2nd and 9th days, travel time - 6 hours. We will be accommodated in a 2nd class car with air conditioning, soft seats, facilities in the car, and a tea and coffee machine.
You can get to Georgia by plane to Vladikavkaz, then by taxi to Tbilisi or by plane to Yerevan and then by taxi, minibus, or train to Tbilisi.
According to the entry rules to Georgia, you must have medical insurance for the entire duration of your stay in the country. You must be prepared to present it when crossing the border.
Insurance is not included in the travel cost. You arrange it independently with the insurance company of your choice. The insurance must cover medical expenses for emergency outpatient services from $5000 or €5000 and inpatient treatment from $30,000 or €30,000. The 'Active Recreation' supplement is mandatory on hiking days.
