About this experience
We have designed this program for you to admire the stunning landscapes of the Caucasus and, if desired, interact with space in a new way. How? Right over the mountains, you can fly on a tandem paraglider with an instructor. What else? Waterfalls in the Chegem Gorge, the 'City of the Dead' in the village of Eltyubu, the Aktooprak pass, and Lake Gizhgit among the mountains - join us!
What to expect
Adai-Su - the largest of the three Chegem waterfalls. Its height is 30 meters. The guide will tell you an exciting story, and you will understand why it is called 'Virgin Braid'.
Su-Azu - another waterfall in the Chegem gorge. It is beautiful in any season: in winter, the water turns into blocks of ice, and in summer, it splits into many small streams. Here you can buy various wool products, honey, and other Kabardino-Balkar souvenirs, as well as try national dishes.
➕ Additional opportunity for those who love new sensations - a paragliding flight over the Chegem Gorge under the guidance of experienced instructors (20 minutes). Both professionals and beginners can fly (in tandem with an instructor). There is also a zip line here. Please note: the opportunity depends on weather conditions.
➕ For those who prefer to stay below, there will be time to breathe mountain air, swing on swings, enjoy the canyon views, and taste delicious khychin.
'City of the Dead' Fardyk - located in the village of Eltyubu, at the foot of Mount Julu with sheer cliffs. From here, you can see the peak of Korgashiklitau (3813 m) - one of the highest mountains of the Greater Caucasus Range. We will walk to the necropolis, the stone tombs of which date back to the 10th-17th centuries - it is very atmospheric here!
Aktooprak Pass - we will drive along the shortest route between the Baksan and Chegem gorges, often called the viewpoint road.
Lake Gizhgit - the hallmark of the Elbrus region. The azure lake that will surely amaze you with its beauty and history.
Organizational details
- I will conduct the tour or another guide from my team
- The trip takes place in a comfortable SUV
- We will pick you up from Pyatigorsk, Essentuki, or Kislovodsk and take you back after the tour. The meeting point is agreed upon individually.
- Depending on weather conditions, the program route may be adjusted (in agreement with the group)
