What to expect

In the resort town of Zelenogradsk, you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a German city of the 20th century, admire the architecture, stroll along Resort Avenue with wonderful souvenir shops, see the ancient water tower - now a museum, and understand why the former Kranz is called the City of Cats.

Travel to the Curonian Spit
You will visit all the iconic places of the national park. The excursion program includes:

• Royal Forest - we will walk through the mixed forest, where centuries-old pines and firs coexist with plants from different parts of the world. You will see a nursery of giant thuja, a falcon wasteland, and coastal meadows. You will walk along an ancient postal route and examine the moose figure made of willow branches. You will also learn about the former German forestry Grenz, located here before World War II.

• Fringilla Bird Ringing Station - founded by Professor Tinemann in 1901, it is still active today. You will see the entire bird ringing process and hear about the methods of studying their migration.

• Muller's Height - I will tell you about the forester who managed to stop the advance of the Bruchberg dune and show you the memorial stone dedicated to him.

• Dancing Forest - you will see unusual trees with twisted trunks and uncover theories about their origins.

• Efa Dune - I will share the story of the rescue of Morshoye village, led by dune inspector Franz Efa. I will also take you to an observation platform with fantastic views.

• Swan Lake - you will enjoy a sea beach, a large dune ridge, and the shore of the Curonian Bay.
