This tour combines the best of what San Francisco and its surroundings have to offer. You will explore the city by car: I will help you understand its vibrant character. Then we will head to Muir Woods, where the height of the redwoods might make your head spin. The trip will conclude with a walk and lunch in Sausalito - a town with houses on green hills and the roaring ocean nearby.
What to Expect
Getting to Know San Francisco
I will tell you the history of the city by the bay and show you the main attractions. We will visit Union Square and drive through the most winding street in the world. Enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the panorama from Twin Peaks. You will uncover the secrets of the railroad barons and silver kings, and discover the 'Wall of Hatred' and the 'Gates to Heaven'.
Dinosaur Trees
We will then head to the unique Muir Woods, where the tallest trees in the world grow - the evergreen sequoias. Giants in the mist, the largest living organisms on earth, dinosaurs among trees - you will see that these nicknames for sequoias were not given by chance. Some of them tower higher than the skyscrapers of New York, and some of these 'old-timers' are over 1,200 years old.
Sausalito - a Million Dollar Town
The enchanting nature, breathtaking ocean views, and proximity to San Francisco have made Sausalito the capital of the local bohemia. All successful residents of Northern California strive to buy a house here. During the walk, you will feel the calm atmosphere of the town, enjoy the sound of the ocean and the view of the fuzzy hills dotted with houses. Afterward, we will visit a cozy restaurant by the bay, where you will be served a sizzling skillet of crabs or shrimps.
