About this experience
The desert can be more than just a sea of sand to the horizon. In the Sahara, there is a remarkable reserve stretching from Egypt to the borders of Libya. You will visit the most interesting parts: the White and the Black Deserts. You will see the sparkling Crystal Mountain and unusual karst formations. Visit the sulfur springs. Witness an unforgettable sunset and spend the night in a protected camp.
What to expect
Day one
- We will meet in Cairo and take a minibus to the picturesque oasis of Bahariya. There we will have lunch, switch to jeeps, and set off to explore the beauty of the Western Desert.
- You will discover alien landscapes of the Black Desert, where traces of volcanic activity are preserved.
- In the heart of the White Desert, you will see the Crystal Mountain, covered in sparkling white and pink crystals.
- Examine the whimsical complex of rock formations and try to discern animal outlines in them.
- Visit the sulfur springs.
- You will be able to sandboard on the dunes.
- By evening, you will settle in the camp, witness a romantic desert sunset, have dinner, and spend the night under the bright starry sky of Egypt.
Day two
Early rise will be rewarded with another atmospheric spectacle—a sunrise in the sands of the Sahara. After breakfast, we will head back.
Organizational details
- The price includes everything: individual transfer by minibus from Cairo and back, jeep safari in the desert on a Land Cruiser, meals along the route (lunch, dinner, and breakfast), overnight stay in the camp, tickets to the reserve.
- The road from Cairo to Bahariya oasis will take about 5 hours.
- Camp information: the area is safe, guarded by the police. Each guest stays in an individual tent.
- Cuisine: mixed (international + traditional).
