About this experience
The sleeping ocean in the desert, villages drowning in palms, volcanic mountains - you will discover an extraordinary Egypt without tourists! In 2 days, you will explore the White Desert with 'snowy' figures and a mountain made of crystals. You will have dinner and spend the night in a tent under the stars. You will visit Bahariya Oasis in the Black Desert and the Mummies Museum. And we will ensure comfortable organization at every stage.
What to expect
Day 1: Alien White Desert
Prepare to travel over 800 km; with stops for rest and breakfast along the way. Upon arrival in the White Desert, you will switch to jeeps and set out to explore Egypt's unique national park. Here, yellow sand seems sprinkled with snow, and everywhere are limestone natural formations resembling animals and mushrooms. Moreover, you will be amazed by the Crystal Mountain - a ridge of hills where calcite crystals gleam in the fissures.
You will have dinner and spend the day admiring the pink sunset and then the brightest desert stars.
Day 2: Black Desert, Bahariya Oasis, and the Mummies Museum
After breakfast in the White Desert and the road, flaming black mountains and palm groves among the sands await you. You will visit the nearest oasis to Cairo - Bahariya. You will see how people live here and, if desired, bathe in local hot springs. Of course, we will show you the sights of Bahariya: the Museum of Golden Mummies with vivid exhibits and two ancient Egyptian tombs.
Organizational details
- The tour can be organized for a larger number of participants (up to 8). Cost: a group of 4 people - €220/person; a group of 5-8 people - €200/person.
- If you order the tour for yourself only, the cost will be €450.
- Discount for children aged 6-12 - 50%. Children under 6 years old go free of charge.
What is included in the cost and what is not
- All transportation expenses, meals, and accommodation are included in the price.
- An additional fee is charged for transfer from Hurghada - €50/person.
How the tour goes
- This is a trip without a guided tour with a guide from our team who does not speak Russian (but I and other Russian-speaking staff will always be in touch with you).
- Transfers to the desert and back are made on comfortable air-conditioned transport (a car or minivan). Across the desert - on prepared jeeps.
- Accommodation is organized in a comfortable tent in the desert (camping).
- The road from Hurghada to the White Desert takes about 8.5 hours, with rest stops and breakfast along the way.
- The tour starts and ends at your hotel in Hurghada, Sharm, or Cairo.
Meals
- Breakfasts: eggs, cheese, beans, bread, jam, tea, coffee, and juice.
- Picnics: fresh vegetables, cheese, tuna, sardines, chips, and fruits.
- Dinner: soup, chicken or beef, rice or pasta, vegetables, tea, and coffee.
- Water is always available.
