About this experience
Have you ever ridden a jeep on the dunes of the desert? Have you tried sandboarding? Walked on a petrified watermelon field? No? Then it's time to try! Let's go to the Sahara, where we will encounter mysterious caves, waterfalls and lakes right in the middle of the sands. And also shells and corals that are 50 million years old! You will enjoy all of this and master sandboarding, gliding on the dunes.
What to expect
We depart from Cairo, two hours on the road - and we are in the Sahara! Let's start with breakfast (additional option) to gather strength before an active day. Then we switch to a jeep and set off to conquer the desert.
- Sandboarding. We will provide you with boards, give instructions, and take photos during the process. Never ridden a snowboard/skateboard and are very scared? You don't have to stand up, you can slide down the dune sitting!
- Wadi Al-Hitan. Here you will learn about one of the most important evolutionary processes on our planet, as well as see a coral reef that is 50 million years old and the remains of ancient whales. This place is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
- Crashed airplane site from World War II
- The Watermelon Field. Why watermelon? It's all about the round stones that miraculously ended up in one place in the desert.
- The Cave. You will be able to climb inside, it's not difficult!
- Sunset meeting and tea by the lake shore
- The only ancient waterfall in Egypt
