About this experience
A prestigious global brand - the Swedish surname Nobel is closely connected to Baku, the first oil boom, as well as the culture and history of our people. On this auto-pedestrian excursion, you will realize the importance of the company created here by the famous brothers and discover little-known facts about their activities in Baku. And the architectural masterpieces will serve as illustrations to my story.
What to expect
We will talk about the life and development of Baku during the first oil boom. We will visit the only museum of the Nobel brothers outside of Sweden and delve into the adventures of the first foreign oil production company established in the Russian Empire. The company 'Br. Nobel' chose an image of the fire-worshipper temple in Absheron as its logo and symbol. The first oil tanker for oil spills was named... 'Zoroastre'. And the clock with a symbolic image, made by the Faberge firm for the Nobels, became the most expensive item in the history of Sweden sold at an auction. You will hear about these and other amazing details at our meeting.
