What to expect
Baku yesterday and today
You will get acquainted with the architectural achievements of the XIX-XX centuries and modern Azerbaijan. Evaluate the old buildings built by Polish architects, walk along Primorsky Boulevard, and see the Baku's Venice. You will also climb up to Highland Park, visit the Flag Square, and see the Crystal Hall, where Eurovision-2012 was held. In addition, I will show you the Flame Towers and the Heydar Aliyev Center - a world-famous masterpiece by Zaha Hadid.
Alley of Honor
We will visit a very important place for Baku, comparable in importance to the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. Azerbaijani cultural, scientific, and political figures are buried here. I will show you the sculptures dedicated to them and share amazing stories associated with them. You will hear about the singer Muslim Magomayev and his grandfather, the doctor and science fiction writer Ilyin, the head of the military hospital Dashkov, and the colonel Medjidov, who raised the flag over the military embassy in Berlin.
