Without this, it is impossible to see the Roman civilization as a grand historical phenomenon that had no equal in scale and influence. Exploring this is the goal of the tour.
Surrounded by the most important places associated with the historical heritage of the Roman Empire, I will talk about the important aspects of life of all layers of Roman society, from emperors to plebeians, about the peculiarities of the state structure and its influence on the ancient Romans.
You will learn how the Roman Empire managed to absorb all the civilizational achievements of Babylon, Ancient Greece, and Etruria, and then give them a stable vector of constant movement, which continued even after the fall of Rome and continues to this day.
We will visit:
- Colosseum - outside and inside
- Palace of the Roman Emperors on the Palatine Hill
- Roman Forum - temples, places of public gatherings, triumphal arches, and columns of emperors
As a result of the tour, the history of Ancient Rome will come together for you in a logical and understandable picture: you will get acquainted with the grandeur of the Roman Empire, understand the main stages of its development, the reasons for the unprecedented flourishing of civilization, and the subsequent decline and fall that followed.
Organizational Details
- Entrance ticket to the Colosseum and Roman Forums is paid by the participants themselves. The ticket costs 12 euros for adults and 7.5 euros for children.
- Buying a ticket and entering the Colosseum takes an average of 20 minutes. This time can be saved if you buy tickets online in advance and print them out. Inquire when booking, and I will tell you where and how to buy tickets online.
