What to Expect

Civita di Bagnoregio, where time stands still
The journey begins from the famous and ancient 'dying city' of Civita di Bagnoregio on the border of Lazio and Umbria. Founded by the Etruscans, this dream-like city is located on top of a hill between valleys, accessible only by a pedestrian bridge about 300 meters long. The city's isolation is its distinctive feature and a result of unstoppable erosion. Thanks to this, the city has preserved its appearance almost entirely, making you feel like you're in the past.

The Blue Waters of Bolsena
After enjoying the atmosphere of Bagnoregio, we will head to the town of Bolsena with its famous picturesque volcanic lake, which is just as impressive as any urban landmark. The round lake is surrounded by beaches with volcanic sand, vineyards, olive groves, and fruit orchards.

The town of Bolsena boasts not only the lake but also Etruscan monuments, medieval fortresses, and villas. We will climb the hill to the Rocca Monaldeschi della Cervara castle, where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake. Then you will visit the church of Santa Cristina, where you will hear about the miracle that occurred in the 13th century and its revered relics.

If there is enough time, you can have lunch at a local restaurant on the lakeshore or sunbathe and swim in the clean fresh water on one of the beaches.
