About this experience
Towards the valleys with vineyards and cypresses - this trip will take you to Chianti, the renowned wine region of Tuscany. You will visit an ancient borgo and a medieval town, learn about the flavors of the region, local grape varieties, and the fame of the dry Chianti Classico wine. And then you will taste it and other varieties at one of the castles. And finally, you will see Tuscany as you imagine it - like it has come out of a perfect postcard!
What to expect
Idyllic landscapes of Tuscany
From Florence, the path leads to the most famous part of Tuscany - Chianti. The road will be adorned with neat rows of vineyards, silvery olive groves, slender cypresses, and huge pines, while I will tell you about Florence and Siena's struggle for this territory and its specifics. Tuscany also includes tiny original borghi (villages). You will visit the ancient borgo of Montefioralle, stroll through medieval stone streets, and feel the tranquility of a place where time seems to have stood still.
Regional flavors in Greve-in-Chianti town
In the heart of Chianti, where wine festivals and fairs are regularly held, we will visit an ancient butcher shop with a cheese cellar. You will be able to taste sausages from wild boar or Cinta Senese breed and delicious pecorino cheese made from sheep's milk.
Wine tasting in a Tuscan castle
Depending on the day of the tour, I will offer you a choice of several castles. In any case, it will be a beautiful place, and on the way to it, you can take photos against the backdrop of Tuscan hills, vineyards, or roads with cypresses. First, you will walk around the castle and learn about its history, about the peculiarities of winemaking in this area. And then you will taste three types of wine: Chianti Classico, Reserva, and Super Tuscany wines. A local expert will tell you about the specifics of each, as well as offer to taste organic olive oil and balsamic sauce.
If desired, the tasting can be supplemented with typical Tuscan snacks (delicate prosciutto, finocchiona, salami from wild boar, and other treats that perfectly complement the wines offered) or a full lunch.

- The castle visit and tasting are in English, if this is crucial for you and your group, please let me know. I will suggest a castle where I can accompany you and provide translation.
