About this experience
The medieval villages of Tuscany deserve all the enthusiastic epithets. Get captivated by the streets of one of them, Loro Ciuffenna: you'll find ancient bridges and a water mill, perfect photo spots, and a mystical church. Spend the day with a glass of wine, enjoying the landscapes, and finish with dinner at a Tuscan cuisine restaurant, learning about its peculiarities and local life.
What to Expect
Idyll and mysterious church in a medieval borgo
We will head to a village with a charming name Loro Ciuffenna. This village on the hills of Valdarno will enchant you with its atmosphere and harmony with the surrounding nature. Wandering through the streets, you will reach the oldest (and still operating to this day) water mill in Tuscany, admire the mountain river, and walk on a bridge built by the Romans. Next, we will visit Pieve di Gropina - a church with very strong energy. You will examine the sacred figures of she-wolves, eagles, lions, and dragons adorning it - together we will unravel the mysteries of these symbols.
Tuscany on a plate
After immersing ourselves in mysticism, we will admire the amazing Tuscan landscapes and the sunset. If you want to feel like a true Italian, I suggest doing it with a glass of wine! For dinner, you will be welcomed at a cozy family restaurant, where the hospitable chef Stefano will prepare traditional dishes. You will enjoy bruschettas and crostinis, local cheeses, and of course pasta, while I will talk about the nuances of our region's cuisine and its traditions.
