About this experience
In one of the most beautiful places in northern Italy, there is a small valley that emerged as a result of glacier runoff. This area, immersed in the greenery of vineyards and olive groves, is called Lugana (from the Latin lucus - forest) and is famous for its unique white wine. I invite you to one of the wineries to immerse yourself in the process of producing this noble drink and try its best varieties.
What to Expect
One of the best wineries will open its doors to us! Hospitable hosts will show the vineyards and production facilities where the golden wine is born.
You will learn:
- How viticulture emerged on Lake Garda
- From which vine the unique Lugana wine is made
- When and how the harvest is gathered
- The secret of producing grappa, dry and sparkling wines
- Which glasses are best for different wines
You will taste:
- 8 types of wine
- 2 grappas
- Cold cuts and cheeses
During the tasting, you will learn to perform organoleptic analysis of wine, study some of the 116 terms used by Italian sommeliers, understand which cheeses and cold cuts are best suited to specific wines, and get an answer to the most popular question - do you really need a decanter?
