About this experience
The Swarovski Museum near Innsbruck is the second most visited in Austria after Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. During the tour, you will learn about the origin and development of the brand, hear the success story of its founder, and discover the unique features of glittering creations. In surrealistic halls with an incredible play of light, I will tell you the Tyrolean legend about the museum's symbol, explain the significance of the dancing pants show, the appearance of Lenin, and other creative concepts. You will see exhibits from the Guinness Book of Records and enter a crystal, and after the tour, I will leave you alone with the jewelry in the largest Swarovski store.
What to Expect
Brand History
Although the museum itself is not dedicated to the history of the company and the production of jewelry, you will definitely hear about the establishment of the famous brand and the Swarovski dynasty, often referred to as the Austrian Rockefellers. I will tell you about the journey the company has taken since 1895 and what it is known for besides jewelry made of loose crystals. In the homeland of its founder - Daniel Swarovski - we will talk about a person from a family of hereditary Czech glass cutters and his success story.
Sparkling Museum-Theater with Surrealistic Elements
Strolling through 13 stylish halls with incredible installations, you will feel like characters from the fairy tale 'Alice in Wonderland' - just the 'Ice Passage' alone with transparent walls filled with thousands of crystals is worth it! I will tell you about the main symbol of the museum - the giant with green crystal eyes and the Tyrolean legend associated with it. In the unusual caves, I will introduce you to their treasure trove - works by sculptors, artists, and designers from around the world who have embodied their vision of the essence of Swarovski crystals in amazing works of art. Among them, you will even see the mausoleum of Lenin performed by, guess who? A creative team from Novosibirsk! You will also encounter crystals from the Guinness Book of Records, watch a performance of dancing pants and suit pairs, see a dazzling New Year tree, and even enter a crystal.
Beautiful Park with Mountain Views and the Largest Swarovski Store
At the end, you will stroll around the 'Swan Lake' covered with Swarovski crystal clouds. Explore the gemstone labyrinth and art objects. And, of course, enjoy the views of the Alps. If desired, you can have lunch at the local gourmet restaurant 'Daniels'. And after the tour, I will leave you to admire the jewelry in the largest Swarovski store, where it is simply impossible to leave without a shimmering and iridescent purchase, especially if you are a woman!
