About this experience
Located just 10 km from the Hungarian border, Subotica will impress you with its amazing multiculturalism, reflected in everything: architecture, traditions, language, aesthetics. As a candidate in historical sciences and an enthusiastic local resident, I will help you understand this melting pot. I will tell you in a lively language how the city has developed and what plans it has for the future.
What to expect
Main Square. You will see the main symbol of the city - the Town Hall, decorated with decorative elements from ceramics and wrought iron. As well as the ancient buildings of the National Theatre and the City Library.
Reichl Palace. You will appreciate the whimsical creation of the Hungarian architect and compare it with the masterpieces of the genius Gaudi. Optionally, you can visit the inner courtyard, where you can have a cup of coffee.
Pedestrian street Korzo. We will walk along the cozy old street, admiring the facades of beautiful buildings and peeking into atmospheric courtyards.
Temples of different religions. I will show you one of the largest and most beautiful synagogues in Europe, Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals, the monastery of the Order of St. Francis, and Protestant churches.
