About this experience
Tbilisi is not just about ancient mansions and intricate balconies. I will tell you how street art is developing here, what distinguishes graffiti from street art, and who is responsible for creating huge murals. I will share curious stories from the inner kitchen of the artists and help you see the city as one big platform for self-expression.
What to Expect
Tbilisi with an Exhibition Curator
I will happily be your guide into the wonderful world of street art. You will learn:
- How the street art movement originated and what is happening with it today
- Why there are so many sheep in Tbilisi and what other unusual characters live on its streets
- What the battle of styles between artists looks like
- How to start drawing on the street yourself
- How long a drawing can last and what to do to prevent it from being painted over
By the end of the walk, you will easily distinguish street art from graffiti, and your phone will be filled with juicy, vibrant photos of drawings that cannot be found online. Most importantly, I will help you develop the valuable skill of observation. After our meeting, you will already start looking around for hidden art away from prying eyes.
