The Mysterious Palace of Diocletian
The Palace of Diocletian is a real 'city within a city'. You will see its well-preserved lower floor, the Peristyle palace square, the Golden Gate, and the Temple of Jupiter. You will also visit the oldest active cathedral in the world - the former mausoleum of the emperor, transformed in the 7th century into a Christian church. I will tell you about the great masters who participated in the construction and decoration of the palace and the influence it had on European architecture.
History and Legends of Split
After exploring the Palace of Diocletian, you will dive into the maze of streets and squares of the Old Town, enjoying the medieval architecture and atmosphere. I will reveal the secrets of the Roman province of Dalmatia, which existed on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, and explain how the Croats appeared in Split. I will also answer all your questions and share local insights.
