About this experience
Join me on a vibrant journey through the south of the island! You will glide on a motorboat along a scenic river and visit a farm where turtles are rescued. Explore charming Galle - a piece of Europe in Sri Lanka - and admire the magnificent Buddhist temple complex of Kande Vihara. I will share fascinating facts about local traditions, nature, history, and religion.
What to Expect
All Sides of Sri Lanka
I have put together an itinerary that combines the most interesting places in the southern part of the island. The tour program includes:
- Galle - you will stroll through the charming streets of the former colonial city, admire the ancient houses and temples. Enjoy the leisurely atmosphere here and appreciate the mighty walls of the fort.
- Turtle Farm - a place where turtles are bred and rehabilitated. You will meet cute little turtles and learn about how they are rescued and released into the sea.
- River Safari - we will ride a boat along the river with mangrove thickets, enjoying fantastic landscapes. I will reveal the features of Sri Lanka's flora and fauna.
- Tsunami Victims Memorial - I will tell you about the natural disaster of 2004 and show the memorial dedicated to its victims.
- Kande Vihara Temple - a huge Buddhist temple complex, picturesquely located on a hilltop. You will see the tallest statue of a seated Buddha on the island and a colorful exhibition depicting his life.
- Blue Lagoon - a beach protected by a double coral reef. Optionally, you can swim here and snorkel.
