About this experience
This journey to the south of the country, where ancient cities are located at the crossroads of East and West, Christian and Islamic Montenegro. You will visit their unique attractions, immerse yourself in the spirit of the past, and learn a lot of interesting things.
What to Expect
- We will stay in the modern part of the city of Bar, which is a major port and one of the centers of Montenegrin tourism. The city is literally drowned in gardens and lush Mediterranean vegetation. Here, on the waterfront, we will visit the palace of King Nikola.
- And then we will go to meet the 'Montenegrin Pompeii' - Old Bar, which is attractive not only for researchers from different countries, but also for numerous guests of Montenegro.
- On the street leading to the Old Town, there are many traditional coffee shops, souvenir and antique shops.
- In the surroundings of Bar, there are numerous olive groves, so this region is traditionally famous for its olive oil. We will see the oldest olive tree, which is over 2000 years old! There is an ancient tradition to reconcile under this olive tree those who are in dispute.
- Next, the path leads to the southernmost city - Ulcinj. We will visit the old town, where in the past powerful rulers, pirates, and slaves lived.
- We will stroll through its streets and after a cup of Eastern coffee we will go to the longest sandy beach in Montenegro - 'Velika plaža', which is 14000 meters long! We will also visit the river Bojana, which has two flows: river and sea. And after relaxing on the luxurious beach 'Copacabana', we will head home.
