About this experience
Many consider England to be a tea-drinking nation. Indeed, tea is consumed a lot here. However, it is very difficult to find places where all aspects - atmosphere and design, as well as the quality of the drink - are top-notch. I live and breathe tea. I host tea ceremonies in London and write articles about this beverage. I know where you can enjoy a splendid cup of tea, and I want to share them with you. I will tell you about Jud Low's favorite tea shop and much more!
What to expect
- I will show you several places in the center of London where everything is perfect - interiors, atmosphere, and drink. These are wonderful tea rooms, cafes, and restaurants that serve quality tea brewed properly.
- Perhaps we will meet the owners there. But even if that doesn't happen, you will still enjoy visiting these establishments. All these places are created by people who have put their heart and soul into them.
- You will try seasonal teas, as well as varieties of masala, Earl Grey, Japanese tea, green rooibos, Darjeeling
- We will have cream tea, and you will understand why it is called that and how to properly eat the scones served with it
- You will learn about the history of the English tea ceremony. Find out how the Chinese tea plant made its way to India and which tea they started producing there.
- I will tell you how much the tea shop called 'East India Company' paid for the right to be called that and many other fascinating stories
Organizational details
Tea is additionally paid for at your request - about £25/person.
