About this experience
This tour is one of our favorites. Despite its duration, it is not tiring at all thanks to the variety of the program. You will get acquainted with the history of two beautiful cities on the west coast and the heritage left by their European founders. Visit popular places and viewpoints. And in the end, we will take you to the best wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley.
What to Expect
Santa Barbara
Similar to the European Riviera, Santa Barbara is often called the Californian Riviera. We will start the tour of this beautiful city from the historic center. You will see the site of the 1812 Spanish-Franciscan mission and the oldest building of the city court, recognized as the most beautiful administrative building in the USA. Enjoying the panoramas from the observation deck, you will move to the tourist street State and Sterns Wharf, built in the century before last.
Solvang
This city with a population of only five thousand people was founded in 1911 by Danes who arrived in these lands in search of a milder climate. Since then, Solvang has been a true Danish village, where everything reminds of this European country: confectioneries, restaurants, souvenir and national clothing stores, architecture. You will stroll through the narrow streets of Solvang and feel the true spirit of Denmark!
Santa Ynez Valley
Ascending into the mountains, we will reach the sunny Santa Ynez Valley, home to over forty vineyards. We will take you to the best ones, where you will taste several varieties of exquisite California wines.
