In our program: sea lions with pelicans on La Jolla beach; the luxurious Coronado peninsula with the hotel where 'Some Like It Hot' was filmed; Spanish architecture in the picturesque Balboa Park and much more.
What to expect
Coastal La Jolla area
In this partly protected place, you will see sea lions lying right on the beach, with pelicans soaring above them. We will take you down Prospect Street with its many fashionable boutiques, luxurious hotels, and exquisite restaurants. We will stop at the San Diego Veterans Memorial, where the names of everyone who gave their lives for the country are immortalized. And you can get a bird's eye view of La Jolla and the rest of the city from the observation deck on Mount Soledad with its stunning 360° view.
Coronado Peninsula
On this charming peninsula, you will feel the atmosphere of luxury living: Coronado is a haven of yachts, paradise beaches, and comfortable hotels. Of special interest is the Hotel del Coronado - you will see the Victorian-style building where 'Some Like It Hot' was filmed.
Downtown - Historic center of San Diego
Here you will visit the gaslamp quarter and the waterfront. You will see the legendary 'Unconditional Surrender' sculpture depicting the sailor kissing the nurse. We will also show you the Maritime Museum with the Soviet submarine B-39 and the USS Midway aircraft carrier as exhibits. And if you want to visit the famous theaters, trendy clubs, and restaurants, we will suggest where to go first.
Balboa Park - The heart and soul of the city
The park was created for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, dedicated to the completion of the Panama Canal. Since then, Balboa Park, resembling an old town, has transformed even more! You will appreciate the beauty of its Spanish architecture, stroll through the cool terraces, and peek into the most secluded corners of its extensive gardens.
