About this experience
St. Mark's Square, Doge's Palace, Grand Canal, Santa Maria della Salute, Arsenal, Rialto Bridge, and Bridge of Sighs - this is just a small (far from complete!) list of the places I will show you during our two-hour overview tour of the most famous city in Italy.
What to Expect
Venice, the only city in the world built on water, unfolds before travelers like a beautiful vision, on the border between land and sea. The amazing city, built on pilings, seems to float in the transparent air above the bay or appear through the net of rain, like in an old engraving. Tourists from all over the world come to enjoy the beauty of its landscapes, the charm of its canals, the gentle cool breeze from the sea, and to acquaint themselves with the masterpieces created by the greatest artists.
Italian architects and artists, thinkers and merchants have given us a world filled with a colorful variety of forms - elegant palaces along the Grand Canal, houses crowding next to each other along the city streets and alleys, numerous paintings stored in museums. Venice is rightfully called the drawing room of Europe. It is a real paradise for tourists, they are everywhere - exploring numerous monuments, fountains, enjoying gondola rides, strolling through world-famous squares, sitting in cafes.
The history of Venice's past centuries is very subtly conveyed in architectural monuments. Time seems to have stopped here. At every step, one encounters stone witnesses of past centuries.
