About this experience
You've stepped off the plane, breathed the air of foggy Albion, and are already looking forward to exploring the city's main sights? But there are so many of them that your eyes are spinning! I invite you to take a walk where you will get acquainted with the landmarks of London and learn all about how the capital is organized. Only the most important information about Britain's capital!
What to expect
You will see:
- Trafalgar Square - the main venue for festivals in the capital. You will hear the story of its creation, learn who Admiral Nelson was, and understand why there are no longer any pigeons in the square.
- Big Ben - the symbol of London. You will find out how it got its name.
- Westminster Abbey - the pantheon of English glory and the place of coronation of all the country's monarchs. Here they said goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II and previously celebrated the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
- Promenade near Buckingham Palace. We will observe the changing of the guard and determine if the king is home.
- The oldest quarter of London - the City, where ancient churches coexist with skyscrapers, and traditions with laws
- Tower Bridge, which we will walk across
- The foreboding Tower of London - the stronghold of medieval monarchy, a treasury, and a bloody prison in the past
And I will also tell you:
- Which monarch was one step away from the Muslim faith and how many wives he had in his lifetime
- Why, when, and for whom the Tower Bridge is raised and how much it costs
- Who the celebrated English Guard really is - clowns, actors, or military - and what are the duties of its representatives
- How the daily routine of English King Charles III is structured, what his salary is, and what his powers entail
Organizational details
During the tour, we will use a bus (£1.75/person) or the metro (£3.20/person) only once - it's your choice.
