About this experience
The best cuisine in Spain is in the Basque Country, more precisely in San Sebastian. This is where the special fast food culture - pincho - originated. I invite you to learn about the history and characteristics of this beautiful culinary tradition by tasting miniature gastronomic masterpieces in the best bars in the city.
Program
With a huge variety of offerings, bars compete for the brightest, most exotic, innovative pincho. Contests are held several times a year. During our gastronomic journey, we will visit establishments with the most interesting, delicious, and unusual snacks.
First, you will, of course, get acquainted with the "classic," and then plunge into the exotic world of the "avant-garde." And if classic pincho is, for example, tuna with olive oil and vinegar sauce, then the avant-garde will amaze you with the extraordinariness and non-obviousness of flavor combinations. Together with this, you will visit bars popular with locals and observe how true Basques relax.
I will tell you how the pincho culture was born and developed, what and from what you can prepare these snacks, and how they differ from tapas. In addition, strolling from place to place through the city streets, we will definitely cover a couple of iconic places whose stories will not remain undisclosed.
I will gladly take into account your gastronomic preferences to select the most relevant establishments for our walk.
