During a walk through the Old Town, you will taste coffee prepared by alternative methods and learn about the local coffee culture. Visit several viewpoints with inspiring views. Explore Thailand's past. Near the statue of Big Buddha and in the Promthep monastery, we will discuss spiritual life in the region and observe traditional rituals.
What to Expect
Phuket with a Coffee Flavor
We will start with a stroll through the Old Town. Take some colorful photos. Visit a coffee shop, where you will get acquainted with the best varieties of Thai coffee. You will try alternative coffee brewing methods and learn about the development of Thai coffee culture.
A Glimpse into the Past
I will tell you about the history of Phuket at the Khao Kad Tower viewpoint. You will learn how trade and economic relations with European countries were established and how Thailand managed to defend its independence and freedom.
Big Buddha Statue
On the way to Big Buddha, you will hear about the life of Siddhartha Gautama and acquaint yourself with the basis of his teachings. At the Great Buddha, you will learn more about the Thai spiritual tradition and can join the meditation if desired.
Panoramic Views
From the viewpoint, you will see the southern part of the island as if in the palm of your hand. After overlooking the beaches of Karon and Kata from a bird's eye view, we will head to Promthep Cape, the southernmost point of Phuket. There we will close the historical chapter of Thailand with a story about King Naresuan and his brother.
Promthep Monastery
On the monastery grounds, you will visit another viewpoint, listen to the sound of waves, and enjoy the view of the cape and the Buddha Island. You will learn about the goddess of mercy Guan Yin and observe a traditional Thai fortune-telling with Siamese sticks.
We can end the tour at the Windmill Viewpoint or at a restaurant at Rawai Beach's fish market.
