Phuket is a symbiosis of tropical climate, wild nature, and modern infrastructure. You will visit picturesque beaches, viewpoints, and parks of the island. Explore Old Phuket with its colonial architecture, visit Buddhist temples, and ascend to the Big Buddha statue. Additionally, you will learn a lot about local traditions, culture, nature, and religion.
What to Expect
Incredible Phuket
I will show you the best viewpoints of the island: Mai Khao Beach with views of passing planes, Kao Khad on Cape Panwa, Karon, and many others. Moreover, the excursion includes:
- Old Phuket – we will stroll through the narrow streets of the island's historic center, admiring the colonial architecture and street art. We will visit a Chinese temple and the 72nd Anniversary Queen’s Park with a statue of a golden dragon. I will talk about Peranakans, Daoism, and the art community in Phuket.
- Wat Chalong Temple – you will hear the spirits-repelling firecrackers, try Chinese-style fortune telling, and see the sculptures of the main abbots of the temple. You will examine a piece of Buddha's shoulder bone, make an offering to the 'smoking' statue, feed the sacred giant fish and turtles.
- Big Buddha Statue – we will enjoy views from 4 different viewpoints to all sides, meet local monkeys, listen to monks' mantras, tie a Buddhist wristband for luck, and check your karma with a ritual gong.
- Promthep Cape – you will appreciate the memorial with elephant statues, the oldest lighthouse in Phuket, and panoramas of the Andaman Sea.
- Ko Sire Island – we will ride around the island with the highest population density in Phuket, visit mangrove forests, see crab-eating macaques, ring the bell in a Burmese temple, and learn about the replica of the Chaitiyio Pagoda.
- Palm Square – you will explore loft ruins with a collection of street art. Admire fresh works of famous Thai artists and the rooftop view of the Karon district.
And this is just the beginning! We will also have lunch at an authentic cafe, visit the park of exotic trees and the southernmost beach of the island, Yanui, see Amazon water lilies, and rubber plantations.
