About this experience
Southern Phuket is a concentration of the island's symbols, offering a glimpse into its authentic corners. Join me on a one-day tour where you will experience both. You will take photos from various viewpoints, visit the Big Buddha, explore peaceful Buddhist temples, and savor seafood. Discover the traditions of the Thais and understand what makes Thailand lovable!
What to Expect
Route: classic and off-the-beaten-path locations
We will start from your hotel and head to the Big Buddha - this temple is considered the island's main attraction. You will find yourself at the foot of the 45-meter statue of the Buddha made of Burmese white marble, admire the views of the entire Phuket Town, and take wow-photos. You will also make a wish in this powerful place when the monk ties a magical string - a 'sai-sin' amulet on your wrist.
Next, we will head to the southernmost part of Phuket, where we will visit a Buddhist monastery, observe the monks, see their living quarters and cemetery. Along the way, we will stop at several mesmerizing viewpoints between the sea and the mountains.
Time for a snack: the famous Rawai Fish Market awaits you. If you wish, you can buy fresh fish or seafood, which will be cooked right in front of you on the grill in a nearby restaurant.
Discover the Land of Smiles
I love interacting with new people and happily share my impressions of life on the Island of Eternal Summer. That's why there will be many stories during the trip: about the country's history, the royal family, peculiar customs and traditions (for example, why you shouldn't touch children's heads and crumple banknotes), the animals living here (did you know that elephants in Thailand receive pensions?). We will talk about the daily life of monks, the Thai mentality, and their food, of course: I will definitely recommend what and where to try.
