Take a stroll through colorful streets and visit places where unique drinks and unconventional chocolate are made. Hear about the provinces where cocoa beans are grown and why Thais make offerings to the demon of darkness.
What to Expect
Vibrant Temple and Local Ceremonies
We will start the tour at the colorful Khao Rang Samakkhitham temple. It is located on a hill, and in front of its staircase stand statues of the god of wealth Tao Wes Suwanna, the demon of darkness Rahu, and the god of death Yama. You will observe how Thais make offerings and learn about the prayers they bring here.
Souvenirs and Coffee from Northern Thailand
We will stroll through the trading alleys of the Old Town among buildings in Sino-Portuguese style. Optionally, you can buy postcards with views of Phuket, traditional handmade Thai clothes, or fried ice cream. And if you wish, you can visit a café where skillful people roast beans collected in northern Thailand.
Spicy Soup Flavored Chocolate
On one of the streets, we will visit a place where chocolate is made from cocoa beans gathered in neighboring provinces. Chocolate candies with the taste of tom yum or Thai rum, chocolate ice cream, and cocoa-based drinks - you can choose what you like.
Chinese Temple
Kuan Im Teng temple stands out for its grandeur. There are several altars, one of which is dedicated to Guanyin - the goddess of mercy. Many people cast lots here - you can try it too.
Dinner or Massage - Your Choice
You can end the tour with dinner. To your taste - many establishments from cafes where a dish costs only 50 baht, to Michelin-starred haute cuisine restaurants. Or, if you desire, we can take you to a spa where experienced specialists perform the famous Thai massage.
