About this experience
As a local resident, I want to show you all the beauty of the greenest of the Prince Islands. Not only popular spots, but also secret corners so you can see this part of Istanbul through my eyes and feel it with your heart. As a photographer, I'll be able to capture your best angles in the most colorful settings. The photos from this trip will make it truly unforgettable.
What to expect
I will tell you the complete history of the Prince Islands, with special emphasis on the second largest island Heybeliada. I will also lead you through secret paths to viewpoints that offer extraordinary views
On the way we will see:
- Halki Seminary on the Hill of Hope - a special educational institution of the Constantinople Orthodox Church
- Monastery of Aya Triada (Holy Trinity), founded in the 9th century by Patriarch Photius. We will explore the unique ancient icons and stained glass windows of the monastery, which have been remarkably well preserved
- House-Museum of the second President of Turkey Ismet Inonu, filled with his personal belongings
Photo Session and Lunch
- On the way at all the most beautiful and vibrant locations, we will take photos. Within a week after the walk, you will receive around 200 color-processed photos, from which you will choose 15 for detailed editing. I will send the photos via cloud storage or Telegram
- At the end or beginning of our photo walk (choose yourself), we will visit an authentic small restaurant, where you will enjoy a lunch with the fish of the day (dorado or mackerel), salad, and four types of traditional Turkish appetizers
Organizational Details
- The price includes: services of a guide-photographer, lunch at a fish restaurant. You pay for any drinks with the lunch separately
- The excursion starts at the pier of Heybeliada Island, which you reach by ferry on your own. The travel time by water is about 1 hour
