About this experience
"Wow, you showed us a different Istanbul!" - this is how people bid me farewell after the photoshoot. And yet we are just walking around the real city for me - vibrant, unique, noisy, and captivating from the first moment. You will see the lively Istanbul, and I will capture the best moments that will remain with you as memorable photos!
What to expect
Walking with me is primarily a photoshoot, so we will tailor the route individually with you. Some may want photos on a ferry while seagulls try to catch simits in the background, some may want to see hipster coffee shops on the Asian side, others may prefer the trendy alleys of Nisantasi. I can even secretly show you where the stars of Turkish TV series live 🤫
Preferred Route
If you find it difficult to decide on preferences, don't worry. I have a basic route that includes all the best of Istanbul:
- Galata Tower and the cozy alleys around it
- Cihangir District - my favorite: bohemian atmosphere, European spirit, and plenty of cafes
- Galata Port and Karakoy: excellent shots can be taken here on the modern waterfront against the backdrop of liners
Photo Walk - what to expect?
1. You will definitely be photographed! 99% of people in my photos have never been on a photoshoot before. The first 15-20 minutes may feel awkward for you (I myself feel awkward when being photographed!), and then you will get used to it and feel more comfortable. No special preparation is needed: just be yourself, wear what you like the most, and enjoy :)
2. It's not a historical tour, but a photo walk from someone in love with Istanbul. I won't tell you in which year a certain mosque was built, but I will guide you through roads where you don't have to climb uphill, show you where the most delicious tavuk-pilav is in the area, and where the shop with stylish souvenirs is. And I'll suggest where to go for dinner after the walk.
Organizational Details
- The day after the walk, I will send you processed photos. If you are alone, 30-40 photos. If a couple or a family, then from 50 to 70 photos.
- If there are 3-5 people, the cost of the photoshoot will be 250€
- If we are going to ride a ferry, it is advisable to have an Istanbul card with you. Or I can help you buy it from a vending machine: it costs 70 lira, plus about 100 lira for transportation.
- The photo walk can be individual, family, or in various combinations
