About this experience
This is an author's route that will reveal Istanbul from a different perspective. The Bosphorus, seagulls, mosques, the Beylerbeyi Palace, European picturesque streets, the eastern market – I will photograph you in the best settings of this city of contrasts. I will also suggest advantageous angles and tell you about life in Istanbul.
What to Expect
- Bosphorus Cruise: We will start our photo tour with a boat trip on the sea.
- Uskudar District: Stroll along the promenade, take photos at the Maiden's Tower, sultans' mosques, and sultan's palace. Visit the local market and capture excellent shots against the backdrop of eastern lanterns.
- Kuzguncuk District: Here, you will find European picturesque streets with colorful houses, an observation deck on a hill, and the most delicious doner cooked on charcoal.
- Beylerbeyi Palace: This is the summer residence of the sultans, located on the Bosphorus shore at the foot of the bridge. I will take pictures of you in the beautiful garden with roses and by the pond with ducks.
- Cengelkoy District: A fishing district with many restaurants offering the freshest fish. Small cucumbers, mussels, wet baklava, lamb intestines on a spit, kokorec – we will take atmospheric photos with local dishes and, if you wish, try street fast food.
Along the way, I will talk about life on the Bosphorus shore, local mentality, culture, religion, I will tell the legend of the Maiden's Tower. We will discuss everything we encounter on the way, about food, cats, and the city in general.
