What to Expect
Christ Church College Traditions
You will visit one of the largest aristocratic colleges in Oxford – Christ Church College, famous for its alumni, including 13 British Prime Ministers, and its exquisite decorations from the Harry Potter film: you will see 'those' corridors, the dining hall, staircase, courtyard, and other corners of Hogwarts. You will explore the legendary Bodleian Library, Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian Theatre, and learn about interesting local traditions, such as the renowned Christ Church's Duck Hunt.
Stories and Collections of the Ashmolean Museum
You will explore the famous Ashmolean Museum, home to a collection of Stradivari violins, including one of the master's most famous works - 'The Messiah'. Here lies the ancient collection of rings that inspired Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings'. It was also the site of the unsolved theft of a Cézanne painting on New Year's Eve 1999...
Oxford's Most Iconic Places
You cannot miss the iconic pub for Oxford students, where brilliant politicians, writers, and scholars once sat as unknown students. Visit Alice's Shop, featured in Lewis Carroll's novel, taste Alice's favorite sweets, and buy souvenirs from Wonderland. Walk under the Bridge of Sighs and learn about the associated student traditions. To conclude the walk, we will visit... a prison. No, just kidding! We will head to a real prison but with some peculiarities that I will explain when we meet :)
