What to expect
Colleges and other attractions
For locals, Cambridge is an ancient and thriving market town, for others it is a new center of technological innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2 hours, you will learn how Cambridge was born and developed. Through the example of the Royal College chapel, you will get acquainted with perpendicular Gothic architecture, see the Cavendish Laboratory and the 'Chronophage' clock, hear about the famous Eagle Pub and the magnificent Trinity College. We will have time to visit one of the colleges: talk about student life and the university's structure, about amazing traditions and student jokes.
A city of outstanding individuals
This theme will run throughout the tour, as Cambridge is primarily a city of scholars, a city with an enviable reputation for intellectual achievements. We will remember Darwin, Kapitsa, Turing, Hawking, and many others. You will learn about the discoveries made in Cambridge - from the theory of evolution to the structure of DNA and the creation of the first computer. I will also talk about representatives of other professions who studied in Cambridge: writers, politicians, actors. About the role of women in the city's destiny and even about British spies.
