About this experience
I invite you to take an educational boat trip on my captain's sloop - we will enjoy the intricate interweaving of canals, bridges, and embankments, looking at the city from the most advantageous point. We will be sitting in the heart of the bustling metropolis on a comfortable couch, drinking, smoking, and learning a lot about the city.
What to Expect
From the water, you can truly appreciate how beautiful, bold, strong, and vast Amsterdam is. Only a city approached from the water considers itself equal, just like sailors of the East India Company and happiness seekers did in the 17th century and throughout all times. By getting familiar with the city, you can discover many architectural and urban planning details, as well as nuances of the character and behavior of Amsterdammers. I want to help you feel and see this. As for what lies on the one-and-a-half-meter bottom of the canals - you'll have to take my word for it.
The genre of the excursion and its content largely depend on you - on your desires and interests. As a local resident, I offer you a truly original tour. But if you are not fond of this format, a classic tour can be arranged.
Based on my own experience, I recommend:
- for a sightseeing tour - 2 hours;
- for photo hunting, photoshoot, or a romantic journey - 3 hours;
- for celebrating a special occasion, family leisure, or a gathering of friends, positive relaxation under the influence of legal substances - 4 hours;
- for countryside trips along the rivers and lakes of the Netherlands - it's worth allocating an entire sunny day and discussing additional ground transfer if needed.
Your requirements:
- not to fear water (a lifebuoy and 2 children's life jackets are available),
- not to bring red wine and fatty food,
- not to wear (or easily take off and be barefoot on board) high-heeled shoes.
Everything else is permitted ;)
