What to Expect
Kaleici - 'the other Antalya'
Kaleici is a district that is nothing like the rest of Antalya. There are no modern buildings here, but there are ancient Roman buildings, picturesque mosques, and towers. I will tell you what these places looked like centuries ago and what modern authorities are doing to preserve the spirit of Old Turkey here. I will take you through picturesque winding streets resembling labyrinths, show you the remains of the city's fortification wall, and other iconic landmarks.
The city's 'postcards'
You will visit Republic Square and learn why the Yivli Minaret is called 'fluted'. You will discover the construction features of the Iskele Mosque and admire the truncated minaret of Kesik. You will also relax in the most picturesque place of the Old Town - the Kaleici Marina. Additionally, I will show you the famous Hadrian's Gate, Hidirlik Tower, Karatay Madrasa, Mevlevihane Monastery, and tell you the stories associated with them. Finally, I will take you to the 50-meter cascading Duden Waterfall flowing into the Mediterranean Sea.
