And you will understand that Antalya is much more than just a popular resort.
What to Expect
Kaleici Heritage: The Spirit of Time
Kaleici is a district located behind fortress walls, near the port. The name Kaleiçi translates from Turkish as "inside the fortress." The partially preserved citadel remembers Greeks, Byzantines, Seljuks, and Ottomans. What did Antalya inherit from different eras and peoples? How did it look in different times and how can you see the historical dynamics of the city in the architecture of its buildings? We will discuss this on a walk along the stone winding streets, admiring the Old Town from different angles.
Antalya Archaeological Museum
In the second part of the tour, we will visit one of the best archaeological museums in the world. In 1988, it was even awarded an international prize. The complex's territory is impressive: 7,000 square meters housing 13 exhibition halls with 5,000 exhibits. And this is only a fifth of the collection (not everything fits in the museum). You will see the most significant artifacts. And you will uncover the fascinating history of the museum's creation – its success lies precisely in it!
