About this experience
During the journey, you will discover that you don't need to go to Durmitor Park to find the best lakes. You will explore the Balkan Amazon and the 'stone sea'. You will taste delicious 'priganice' in a cafe where turtles roam, and prosciutto made the old-fashioned way. The program also includes fishing and mountain villages with colorful stories about different regions. And rest assured - we won't miss a single beautiful panorama!
What to expect
'I gaze into the blue lakes'
Natural wonders are beautiful in their non-static nature, and to see them in the best light, you need to know the viewing angle and the height of the sun. I have taken these nuances into account in the program. You will see the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula and the Crnojevica River from above, from the side, and from the inside - during a 2-hour boat trip. As you sail on the lake, you will enter the most picturesque part of the river, which local boatmen call the Amazon.
🍩 ☕ I will suggest having a coffee break in a cozy family cafe, next to which huge turtles often peacefully roam. You will be treated to traditional donuts - 'priganice' - and other homemade treats.
Unusual mountain reliefs and traditional cuisine
When it seems like the impressions are already overflowing... we will head to the mountains! Passing by the old royal capital of Cetinje, you will appreciate the landscapes of Montenegro's famous 'stone sea'. We will make another stop in the village of Njegusi - a place where the famous Montenegrin prosciutto is still dried. Here we will have lunch - with prosciutto, Njegusi cheese, veal or lamb prepared in a traditional way.
🏞 The excursion will not end with a hearty lunch: ahead are the panoramas of the Boka-Kotor Bay from an altitude of almost 1000 meters above sea level. I have not seen anyone remain indifferent to these views ;)
