About this experience
I and my city are responsible for every word in the name of the tour, during which the parallel Rome will open ancient doors for you and invite you into its hidden worlds. We will touch the secrets of the Jesuits, enjoy the masterpieces of Raphael and Caravaggio, immerse ourselves in the spirit of belle époque. And if you were not a connoisseur of bohemian Rome until today, I assure you - you will become one!
Who is this walk for
My walk is created specifically for you if you:
- want to have a date with Italian art in all its manifestations, but your soul does not lie in the hectic atmosphere of mainstream museums;
- love to leisurely alternate intellectual pleasures with hedonism;
- have been to Rome many times and want to discover new layers of the city and add to your collection of favorite places;
- are in Rome for the first time and want to experience its main feature - the inexhaustible readiness to amaze connoisseurs of history and beauty.
And now, if you love surprises and adventures - do not read further description of the tour! Trust my taste and talent for perception.
What to expect
We will meet in a cozy square in the very epicenter of the tourist city, but immediately leave the common reality.
Antique library folios. To begin with, we will go to the treasure trove of the Jesuit order's secrets - one of the oldest libraries in Europe. As if in a movie about you-know-who wizard, we will walk between carved 18th-century shelves, look closely at hidden symbols, inhale the scent of leather bindings, and maybe even leaf through centuries-old folios. And then we will briefly visit one of the most elegant cafes in the city for a refined cup of coffee with a micro-pastry.
Social visit to the aristocrats. After saying goodbye to the temple of wisdom, we will visit a family with a thousand-year-old lineage: we will be in modest private apartments fit for a prince, and then admire the ceremonial part of the palace. And even if we do not catch the hosts at home, nothing will prevent us from enjoying the original masterpieces of Raphael and Caravaggio and savoring the nuances of luxurious interiors.
Rome pompous and paradoxical. Through secluded alleys, we will stroll to one of the most impressive and contradictory spaces in the center of Rome. Our last location is a heavy luxury of 19th-century architecture and art, the pretentiousness of which once puzzled and charmed Anna Akhmatova, Federico Fellini, and Joseph Brodsky. Here you will surely experience mixed feelings and wonder how Rome manages to hide such magnificence from the general public.
However, I suggest transferring philosophical reflections to a table in the vacant establishment, the tapestried walls of which still seem to recall scenes of glamorous belle époque parties...

It was simply fantastic and magnificent: I haven't experienced such a long aftertaste after a tour with my friend for a long time. We truly found ourselves in some kind of parallel world right in the heart of Rome. The most unexpected locations where you want to return and immerse yourself in the at...

Thanks to Anna for the original view of the Eternal City. A leisurely walk is especially nice for those who are in Rome not for the first time. It is unlikely that you can find these 'portals' on your own, especially when the journey is accompanied by an entertaining story.
