About this experience
Make your French morning extraordinary! Join me on a journey to a historic tea room, where since the late XIX century they serve magnificent almond croissants and aromatic coffee. And then - to the former orangery of the Tuileries garden, where the works of great Impressionists are displayed. You will adopt the habits of Parisians, touch the magic of Monet's 'Water Lilies' and the aura of true French elegance.
What to expect
Parisian breakfast
In the beginning of the tour, I will take you to an elegant tea salon, which was opened in 1862. You will try authentic almond croissants, hot chocolate or coffee and famous macarons, enjoying the unique ambiance and atmosphere of the XIX century. During a leisurely breakfast conversation, I will tell you about the origins of the first tea salons in Paris, when coffee became popular among Parisians, and what the first coffee houses in the capital were like. I will share secrets of the place I chose for our morning meal.
The peak of Impressionism at the Museum Orangerie
I will show you a unique place in Paris, where one painting covers all the walls of two halls. Everything merges on it: water in the pond, willow branches descending to the water, reflections of leafy trees growing around, and floating water lilies, many delicate water lilies! Yes, these are the famous 'Water Lilies' by Monet, displayed at the Museum Orangerie. There you will also see paintings by Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, Utrillo, Chaim Soutine, and other famous artists of the late XIX and early XX centuries. We will discuss their works in an environment that is not typical for a museum at all. The building of the former royal orangery is perfect for intimate contemplation of Impressionist paintings - it was hard to find a better place for the exhibition.
