What to Expect
Mountain Peaks of the Romantic Resort
En route to the ski resort, we will introduce you to the history of Karachay-Cherkessia, share local customs and traditions, and take brief photo breaks at the most impressive points. Upon arrival, you will stroll around the modern Romantic resort, taste the authentic Arkhyz water, and in winter, ski or snowboard. During summer, take the cable car up the Abishira-Ahuba ridge to enjoy breathtaking mountain panoramas.
Sanctuaries and Artifacts of Arkhyz
Arkhyz is known as the cradle of Christianity in the Northern Caucasus and a center for the study of the Universe. Therefore, we will discuss both the religious and scientific life of this region. Visit the historical-archaeological complex of the Lower Arkhyz Settlement, a real open-air museum. Explore the 10th-century Christian churches and find the holy spring. Then, we will head to the Bolshoy Zelenchuk Valley to walk to the iconic Likeness of Christ rock painting, surrounded by legends.
During the trip, we will also show you where to purchase over 20 types of Arkhyz products, from rose petal jam to mountain tea.

Tour Itinerary
- We will travel about 450 km in a day, spending around 6 hours on the road with stops ranging from 15 to 30 minutes at different locations and photo spots. We will have about 3 hours in the Romantic settlement.
