About this experience
We travel by car to picturesque corners of Kazakhstan. You will be amazed by diverse landscapes: Lake Kolsai among forest-covered mountains, the Black Canyon amidst lifeless plains, the reddish and striped Charyn Canyon resembling the Grand Canyon. At each location, you will have free time to enjoy the nature.
What to expect
Charyn Canyon
The attraction of many travelers visiting Kazakhstan. Over 150 kilometers long - it impresses with its whimsical shapes and reliefs, which will serve as beautiful angles for your photos. You can walk along the canyon to the Charyn River or, if you want, take a panoramic shot from above.
Kolsai Lake
The distinctive feature of this lake is the special water color, which changes from bright blue to emerald shades. And around it - a stunning alpine-style landscape. You can rent a boat or catamaran and enjoy the silence and tranquility of the waves: it's no wonder this place is called the 'Kazakh Switzerland'.
Black Canyon
A special location surrounded by bluish-black rocks, which amazes with its scale and alien landscapes. The canyon can be photographed from above - and you can also walk along the top of the canyon, as the precipitous walls do not allow you to descend.
Program and timing
- Gathering at the meeting point at 06:30, departing from Almaty at 07:00
- 10:00-12:00 - walk through Charyn Canyon, time for photos, videos
- 12:30-13:00 - visiting the Black Canyon
- 14:00-15:00 - lunch
- 15:00-17:00 - approaching as close as possible to Lake Kolsai, photos, videos, walk to the lake
- 18:00 - departure to Almaty
- 21:00 - return to Almaty
The times are approximate and may vary depending on the physical preparedness and punctuality of the group, road and border conditions, as well as unforeseen circumstances. The sequence of visiting locations may be changed by the driver-guide due to weather conditions.
Organizational details
Please note that the trip does not involve in-depth storytelling from the driver-guide. He will show you the maximum, but the main goal of the trip is to enjoy the natural locations, photos, and videos.
Upon request, the tour can be conducted in an individual format only for your group of up to 6 people. Cost - 45,000 rubles.
Payment and refund
- After making the prepayment on the site, you will need to pay the remaining cost of the tour at least 48 hours before the start.
- Refund or date change rules: if there is more than 72 hours left until the tour and you want to return the ticket, a 100% refund is possible. If less than 72 hours but more than 48 hours, ticket exchange for another date is possible. If less than 48 hours, refund and ticket exchange are not possible.
Other terms
- Recommended age for children - from 3 years. If you plan to go with small children, check with us for the availability of a child seat before booking.
- Unaccompanied minors are not allowed (age verification may be required based on documents)
- Persons in a state of intoxication or with inappropriate behavior are not allowed without refund of the ticket cost

- Entrance fees (ecotaxes) - 3000 tenge per person, cash only accepted. Must be handed to the driver/guide upon boarding.
