Group Experience: Lakes Kaindy and Kolsai, Black and Charyn Canyons - all treasures of Almaty
About this experience
In one day, you will collect a whole collection of Almaty treasures. We will depart early so that you have enough time for sightseeing and photos in each location. You will see the Kazakh Grand Canyon in the morning sun. Feel the grandeur of the Valley of Castles. Appreciate the alien landscapes of the Black Canyon and the lake with submerged pines. And at sunset by Lake Kolsai, you will be transported to Switzerland.
What to expect
06:00 departure from Almaty
10:00 - 12:00 arrival as close as possible to Lake Kaindy, a short trek to the lake on foot, by UAZ or on horses, time for photos, walk
13:00 - 14:00 lunch at a cafe at Lake Kolsai
14:00 - 15:00 Lake Kolsai, rest, time for photos, walk
16:00 - 16:30 Black Canyon
17:00 - 19:00 walk through Charyn Canyon (descend to the Valley of Castles and walk to the Charyn River), time for photos
21:00 - 22:00 return to Almaty
The times are approximate and may vary depending on the physical fitness and punctuality of the group, the road and border conditions, as well as unforeseen circumstances.
Organizational details
- After making the prepayment on the website, the remaining cost of the tour must be paid at least 48 hours before the start of the trip by transfer to a Russian card (you will receive the details after booking)
- The cost includes: transfer on a comfortable minivan with a professional driver, first aid kit
- When there are up to 5 people in the group, we travel in a off-road vehicle or minivan with a guide-driver; with 8 people - in a small minivan with a guide-driver; 9-12 people - in a medium minivan, with a separate driver and guide
- The trip does not involve extensive storytelling from the guide-driver. He will show the maximum, but the main goal is to enjoy the natural locations, take photos and videos.
Additional expenses:
- entrance tickets (ecotaxes) - 3000 tenge per person, cash only. Must be given to the driver/guide when boarding
- food - you can bring your own or have lunch at a guest house/cafe (from 4000 tenge per person)
