What to expect
Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes. Both reservoirs will amaze you with the unique water color, changing from bright blue to emerald shade. The mountain peaks and picturesque fir forests around the lakes create incredible landscapes that can rival the panoramas of the Alps.
Charyn Canyon. Any time of the year, you will be impressed by its scale, able to walk through the gorge and admire the cliffs, rare plants, and the rushing river at the end of the path.
Black Canyon. An impressive place with mysterious coal-black rocks and fantastic landscapes reminiscent of other planets. You will stroll along the canyon and fully enjoy its beauty.
Sample timing:
06:00 - departure from Almaty
10:00-12:00 - Kaindy Lake, horseback ride or ecotaxi ride to the lake
13:00-14:00 - lunch at a cafe or snack at Kolsai Lake
14:00-15:00 - Kolsai Lake
16:00-16:30 - Black Canyon
17:00-19:00 - Charyn Canyon, walk through the gorge, Valley of Castles, Shyryn River
21:00-22:00 - return to Almaty
Your journey will be comfortable and safe thanks to our experienced guide-drivers who will always be with you. They will not only vividly tell you about the local places but also answer all your questions and provide necessary assistance if needed.
Organizational details
- You make a prepayment when booking, and the remaining amount is transferred to a Russian or Kazakhstani bank card (details will be provided after booking). Payment must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- The price includes: transfer on a comfortable off-road vehicle and services of a professional guide-driver
- Additional charges: eco fees - 3000 tenge/person (cash only), photographer services (optional, inquire in advance)
- The vehicle is equipped with a first aid kit with necessary medical supplies and medicines for unforeseen situations.
- I or another guide from our team will conduct the tour
- Please note: the trip does not involve extensive storytelling from the driver-guide. He will show the maximum, but the main goal of the trip is to enjoy the natural locations, take photos, and videos.
