If you have only one day for a trip out of the city, but you want to see as many beautiful landscapes as possible, our excursion is perfect for you! We have collected the most popular tourist spots in the Almaty region: Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes, Charyn Canyon and its most fantastic part - the Valley of Castles, as well as the Black Canyon.
What to expect
- Kolsai Lake. Dark-blue water, blooming lake shores, mighty rocks, and endless spruce forest - that's what awaits you in this picturesque mountain gorge where Kolsai Lake is formed. Here you can breathe fresh air endlessly.
- Kaindy Lake (from mid-March to November). The mystical beauty of this place is beyond words! Due to a strong earthquake in 1911, a landslide blocked the coniferous gorge - and a lake appeared in its place. The water here is very cold, so the conifers have been perfectly preserved: you can see trees through the transparent surface.
- Charyn Canyon - an ancient labyrinth of rocks that have been shaped for hundreds of thousands of years. We will visit a part of it called Black Canyon due to the coal color of the stones.
- Valley of Castles - one of the most beautiful sections of the Charyn Canyon. For millions of years, wind and water have carved out unique sculptures from sedimentary rocks. The whimsical rocks reach a height of 300 m, and their red color is due to a high iron oxide content.
You will have enough time to leisurely stroll through the canyon and capture the natural beauty.

- I or another guide from our team will conduct the tour
- Important! The tour takes a full day: it starts at 6 am and ends at 11 pm.
- Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather, and also bring a hat and sunglasses - even in winter the sun is intense in the mountains
- Note: you must have your passport with you
- The price includes: transfer on a Toyota HiAce, guide services, all ecological fees
- Additional activities (optional and for an additional fee): horseback rides in the canyon, catamaran or boat rides on the lake - prices start from 1200 rubles/5000 tenge. Exact prices are available upon request.
- The remaining payment for the tour is accepted in tenge on the day of the tour. The tenge amount is fixed according to the current exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the day of order confirmation, and we will inform you about it in our correspondence.
- This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, people with hypertension, heart and lung diseases, and other contraindications, as part of the journey goes through a bumpy serpentine road
