About this experience
On a comfortable car, you will go on a private excursion to the Kangwon-do province. In Soraksan Park, you will ride a cable car, explore the fortress ruins, visit a Buddhist temple, see a beautiful waterfall, try the legendary rice brew, stroll along the East Sea coast, and drive through Korea's longest tunnel.
What to Expect
Program with timing
- 05:50 - departure from the hotel. We drive along a mountain serpentine, observe rural life, and have breakfast at a cozy roadside cafe
- 09:00 - arrival at an unusual place with an unusual history (attention - there will be 18+ information!)
- 10:00 - arrival at Soraksan National Park
- 10:30 - cable car ascent to the 700m peak. Here you will find the ruins of the 13th-century Kwongyumsong fortress.
- 11:30 - visit to the Buddhist temple, viewing of the 10-meter bronze Buddha, a walk to the picturesque waterfall over a covered bridge
- 14:00 - lunch: a big squid roll, seafood pizza pancake, and local rice brew
- 15:00 - departure to the East Sea beach. In warm weather, you can swim, in cool weather, take a walk and admire the water's smoothness. Later, if you wish, you can have a seafood dinner at a local cafe (paid separately).
- 18:50 - return to Seoul via a fast toll road through tunnels. We will pass through Korea's longest tunnel.
