About this experience
We will head to the spiritual center of Catalonia - Montserrat Monastery on top of the sacred mountain. You will learn why thousands of pilgrims come here and enjoy the incredible panoramas of mountains and valleys. Afterward, you will embark on a gastronomic journey to the market and farm, where you will taste the best cheese and Catalan dishes based on ancient recipes.
What to Expect
We'll travel 50 km from Barcelona to see the sacred mountain of Montserrat, atop which sits an ancient monastery. You will take a funicular to the top, enjoy breathtaking views of the surroundings, and learn why Montserrat Mountain is so revered in Catalonia. In the monastery, you will see the sculpture of the Black Madonna, a destination for thousands of pilgrims from around the world, and make a wish by her side.
After the spiritual experience, you will delve into the gastronomic culture of Catalonia. We will visit a real farmers' market to try exquisite local cheese. Then, we will head to an ancient olive farm dating back to the 16th century. Here, you will learn about the intricacies of olive oil production and savor traditional Catalan dishes prepared according to centuries-old recipes.
